Milus Herios TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton watches Give More To Stare At
This name is not uttered so easily, but the Milus Herios TriRetrograde Seconds Skeleton Watch is an instant classic. It even requires two full breaths to say the entire name, a quality that luxury watches seems to pride themselves on. This long titles does the Milus Herios Triretrograde Seconds Skeleton proud. A quick glance reveals a perfect square tank watch. The perimeter of the face has art-deco fashioned numerals running around a partially skeletionized view of the circular movement. No matter how square a watch is, that vast majority of movements inside these watches are round. Luckily, this movement features an automatic movement which winds the watch as you wear it. Many watches of this ilk possess manually wound watches for two reasons. One, the watch can be a bit thinner, and two, it provides unobstructed viewing of the movement which is at issue in a partially skeletonized watch. The decision to make this an automatic watch increases its everyday practicality, and thus the appeal in my opinion.
Tiret Gotham Watches
Wow, these are pretty wild I have to say. From the odd and rare Tiret New York watch company comes the Gotham collection of watches. Here are the Chronograph and Power reserve models, and I hear there is a GMT version as well. Based on Batman's version of New York, the Gotham is a mixture of square modernism, art deco, and sheer horological goodness. I would wear the thing for sheer novelty value.
These are not brand new watches, nor are they cheap watches. Lots of white gold (or other golds) and other fine materials (steel, ceramic, natural rubber, optional oodles of precious gems) make up the Gotham watches, and probably a lot of prissy attitudes and luxury margins. But who cares, you'll probably never even see ones of these watches in the flesh. The only places I am aware they are sold is in places like Dubai and Burjuman. Where cost is of little issue to some people. The name of the brand is Tired New York - not sure what the connection to New York is - oh well.
Glycine Combat 6 Watches On The Cheap
that come in two styles with a choice of automatic or manually wound movement. First is the Glycine Combat 6 Automatic, with a more subtle face in black or blue, classic Arabic numeral face, and the optional metal bracelet. There is also the more military style Glycine Combat 6 Manual watch with most of the same options, but just with a manually wound movement. I believe both movements are available in all the styles.
The watches are each in steel and 43mm wide. Larger than the vintage style they are modeled after. You can totally see some high-level military guys wearing one of these watches circa 1950 is "the war room." Looking at their watch and wondering what time it is in Moscow.
