Marvin M104 watches Review
This will be my first of several reviews on watches from the Marvin watch brand. In addition to sharing with you these interesting and attractive timepieces, I have an ulterior motive. You see, Marvin watches are not currently sold in the US. There is really no good reason for this, and I am trying to determine whether or not these watches would be in demand here in the States. I for one think that they would have a lot of appeal given their styling, construction quality, and fair prices. So, what do you think? Please comment and share your thoughts.
Romain Jerome Titanic DNA Checa Is Melty Face watches
I do applaud Romain Jerome for being so ballsy and avant garde. They have made some nice one-off or limited edition pieces that spit in the face of fellow Swiss who are highly conservative most of the time - especially in terms of watch design. Actually, even Romain Jerome's non limited edition watches are "special." Love them or hate them you have to appreciate their niche and determination to be different. However, that doesn't mean I have to love everything they make. This new special "art" watch by French artist Andr¨¦ Ch¨¦ca is a bit much for me. It is one of those things that I freely admit not liking, but appreciate the artistic endeavors behind it, and that it exists. As though I wouldn't get pissed about it being in a museum ("That isn't art, I could do that!"), but I would openly discuss my distaste for it ("My lord this piece tickles the vomit enticing regions of my gullet").
The Sophisticated Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Moon
Unfortunately, a 37mm looks kind of silly on my 7.5″ wrist. Otherwise, a Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Moon like Rob’s (friend of the show since 2004) would be a perfect timepiece for formal occasions. Although Jaeger-LeCoultre seems to have entered a different route to approach its clients since a while, with big bulky watches or with high-tech materials, this Master Moon with a diameter of 37mm and a height of just 10mm is a true classic that at least will look good on you in a few decades from now. Will the Compressor watches do to?
